Website Moved
As mentioned in my note from April 17th (repeated below), I have successfully moved the Villages Woodworkers Club website from thevillages.net to another physical location. This new website will give us more space (25M versus 5M) so I can put up more photos and data. It has 24/7 support in case of problems. It also gives me back my personal web space at thevillages.net. The only difference you will notice is that there are now ads at the top of each page. This is the cost of doing business with a domain name providing service. The ads are mostly in Central Florida and a few are even in the Villages. Many are wood related sites. I checked the download speeds using both a dial-up line and a cable modem and there is no appreciable difference. If you have any problems accessing the new VWC website or if you experience problems with the files or photos at the new website, please let me know.

I am moving the VWC Woodworkers Club website from thevillages.net to another physical location. I do not foresee any difficulty as long as you have your Favorites or Bookmarks pointing to the correct name for the site. I need you to make sure that any Favorites or Bookmarks link to the VWC Woodworkers website points to www.vwc704.com. To do this, please go to your Favorites or Bookmarks and find your entry for the Woodworkers Club, do a right-click on it and click on Properties and verify that the URL is http://www.vwc704.com/. If it is not, please change it to http://www.vwc704.com/ by typing over the current URL pointer. On Wednesday evening (04/25/07) at 8:00 PM, I will make the switchover and test it out. If I have any difficulties, I will point the WWW.VWC704.COM URL back to where it is now. If it goes or fails, I will send out a note and let you know how it went. |
